The operating model

One control point for every number.

esgtracker.eu does not replace your team’s judgement. It makes that judgement visible: who entered a value, what supports it, who approved it, and what still needs attention.

01

Collect

Structured forms for sites, vessels, facilities and corporate teams.

02

Support

Attach files, notes and source context to the data point.

03

Review

Assign owners and approvers with clear status and comments.

04

Report

Turn approved data into dashboards and reporting views.

Example: electricity use at a facility

A data owner enters electricity use for the reporting period and attaches the utility bill with a note about its source. A reviewer checks the unit and period, requests a correction or approves the entry. The ESG team can then use the reviewed data in dashboards and reporting views.

What is the difference between VSME, CSRD and ESRS?

VSME is a voluntary sustainability reporting standard designed for non-listed small and medium-sized enterprises. CSRD and ESRS have different roles: CSRD is an EU directive on corporate sustainability reporting, while ESRS are the reporting standards for companies subject to the relevant requirements.

esgtracker.eu helps your team organize data and evidence, prepare draft VSME disclosures and assemble material for CSRD/ESRS reporting where relevant. Your team checks which requirements apply and approves the final content. Using the platform is not certification or a guarantee of regulatory compliance.

What do Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions mean?

Under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, Scope 1 covers direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by a company. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from the generation of purchased or acquired electricity, steam, heat and cooling consumed by the company. Scope 3 covers the other indirect emissions in its value chain, both upstream and downstream.

For example, a manufacturer can collect fuel and electricity consumption records and request activity data from suppliers through questionnaires. In esgtracker.eu, the team organizes records, attaches evidence and reviews entries before using them in reports. Selecting inventory boundaries, emission factors, methods and assumptions remains the team's responsibility.

The definitions above summarize official sources from EFRAG, the European Commission and GHG Protocol. Sources last checked: . These references do not imply a partnership, endorsement or certification of esgtracker.eu by these organizations.
